In 1987, Forrest Wood sold his company to Thompson Co. of Dallas, Texas, and in 1991 Genmar Holdings of Minneapolis, Minnesota, bought Wood Manufacturing. Wood and his family continued working closely with Ranger Boats.

Jul 8, 2022 · Anyone have experience with Ranger pontoon boats. Nice looking package, 4 wheel disc trailer. Part of the Bass Pro Shop group. Found them at an on the water dealer near me. Ive had 3 previous vhulls and trailers were always more trouble than the boat. Most dealers near me are going very basic on trailers at ridiculous prices.

Bennington Sedona vs Lowe vs Sweetwater - Pontoon Boat
Jun 30, 2006 · I have owned pontoon boats for over 15 years, I used to sell and buy a new one about every three years. My vote is for the Bennington; Quality played a large part in my past purchases with price a close second. When you go take a look at the two boats the first thing is a quality check. If the boats are on trailers the job is much easier.

Aug 19, 2020 · The sales lady told me I really needed to also look at the Ranger 2300 LS. With a 250 Merc and trailer, the boat is mid-80's and I was not looking for anything in that price range. Started to look at it and this is a very nice boat but all the electronics scare the crap out of me.
