My Buffalo Forge #15 Drill Press Restoration
Aug 26, 2020 · Hi Papa Charlie - that is in fact the correct orientation of the motor plate. The Buffalo 15 manual shows the same configuration, and the belt aligns perfectly straight with the drive pulley on the drill. I am thinking however that the motor is not the original. What I have is a 1/2 HP Walker-Turner Driver Line motor.

When I saw this listing pop up- I was all over it.

Jan 31, 2017 · Lots of people try and mill on a drill press. Some are successful. It all depends on your knowledge of machining and the limits of the set-up. As you know a drill press is not made for side cutting. That said, any drill press with a long spindle nose is an awkward start in using it as a milling machine. And we like pictures!

Jan 5, 2024 · So a few specifics - doesn't have to be a Buffalo spindle. It does need to be a6 spline, 5/8" diameter, at least 15" long with a spline length of at lease 6-1/2" and a taper chuck fitting. Rick
