US law enforcement agents carried out exercises using barbed wire and concrete blocks Friday at a crossing on the border with Mexico as tensions crept up ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration.

United States Customs and Border Protection agents put up barricades on the Paso del Norte International Bridge that connects Mexico's Ciudad Juarez with El Paso, Texas. The barbed wire fencing is placed on the border as part of security exercises ahead of Donald Trump taking office for a second term as US president on January 20.

The flurry of attempted illegal crossing along the U.S.-Mexico border comes just 72 hours before Trump's inauguration. Border Patrol agents dissuaded and easily rounded the few migrants to face criminal charges of illegally entering the U.S.
