While a lucky individual purchased the sole $256 million jackpot-winning Powerball ticket in Queens earlier this month, all New Yorkers are benefiting from the 7, 2024 Powerball drawing with $13.1 million in combined aid to education and retailer commissions and hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional prizes.

The Powerball jackpot increased again after it remained unclaimed, but one lucky person won a couple million on Christmas.

The New York Lottery announced that the two winning tickets for the Dec. 11 drawing matched four white balls and the red Powerball. One prize-winning ticket each was sold at Tops Markets, located at 345 Amherst St., in Buffalo, and at Wegmans, located at 7952 Brewerton Rd., in Cicero.
