HOUSTON — A Houston firefighter was rushed to the emergency room after being injured while battling a fire at a Galleria-area apartment complex on Thursday. The fire broke out at the complex on Bering Drive near Chimney Rock.

In response to reports of people trapped in a fire, Houston Fire Department crews were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 4800 block of Jarmese Street around 5:35 a.m. Tuesday, Brent Taylor, a spokesperson for the fire department said.
