Sony is dropping the need to link some of its PC games to a PSN account, but it will offer in-game rewards to those who do sign in.

PlayStation announced via a blog post that it was going to start offering players on PC bonus in-game items and rewards if they chose to create and login with a PSN

The change means you can play single-player PC games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 without needing to log in.

Sony is dropping the PSN requirement from the PC ports of its PlayStation titles. This will affect past releases, too.
