Stockton University in New Jersey is preparing its fields and getting ready to host CR Flamengo, a soccer team based in Brazil, for training ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.

The tournament – designed as a glittering showcase ahead of the 2026 World Cup – has had to contend with the prospect of empty seats along with controversial qualification rules and player welfare concerns after an exhausting European season.

Four locations in New Jersey will serve as the base camp sites for four of the participating teams in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, which begins later this month.
