Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk had to be helped off the ice and taken to the locker room following a collision with Tampa Bay’s Nikita Kucherov during Monday night’s game.

Nikita Kucherov's game ended early on Monday night in Sunrise, as the Lightning and Panthers completed the second of their back-to-back games. The Tampa Bay Lightning forward received a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct for a knee hit on Florida Panthers' forward, Matthew Tkachuk in the first period.

Florida Panthers star forward Matthew Tkachuk was injured during the first period of Monday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tkachuk took a knee-on-knee hit from Tampa Bay forward Nikita Kucherov and immediately went to the ice, clutching his right leg.
