Hurricane Helene, which left massive destruction along the Florida coast since making landfall Thursday, is now causing historic flooding, wide-ranging power outages, and other damage in an 800-mile northward path that's affecting the Carolinas, Tennessee, Georgia, and other states.

Helene was the strongest storm to ever hit Florida’s Big Bend region. As it made its way across the Southeast, the storm inundated towns with floods and mudslides, killing at least 60.

Fast-moving Hurricane Helene was large and powerful. Its widespread storm surge devastated some coastal areas in Florida, and its far-reaching heavy rains affected Georgia, South Carolina, and mountainous regions in North Carolina and Tennessee.
