Napier, widely-presumed to be on the SEC's hottest seat this fall outside of Sam Pittman at Arkansas, is signed through the 2028 season on a deal he first inked in December 2021 worth $51.8 million

It ended up with the Trojans hiring Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley, but only because he lost the Bedlam game against Oklahoma State and lost all consideration for a top-tier bowl game.

The Florida Gators (1-2, 0-1 SEC) dropped to 12-16 under Napier following a 33-20 loss to Texas A&M on Saturday at The Swamp. Florida also lost 41-17 to Miami in its opener and trailed by as many as 28 points in the second half against Miami and 26 points in the second half against TAMU.
