Will Smith just dropped an update on a sequel to Hancock . During a Twitch stream with @xQc, Smith confirmed that Hancock 2 is moving forward. Not only has he seen a pitch for the sequel, but Zendaya is already being eyed for a role.

But we haven’t even talked about it, so I’m going to give you one little piece: Zendaya is being – will be – approached for a role in Hancock 2. Will Smith clearly knows acting talent when he sees it eyeing Zendaya for a role.

To be mildly fair to Smith, it’s worth remembering that, despite a mixed critical reception, superhero deconstruction Hancock actually did pretty good money when it came out back in 2008, bringing in nearly $630 million in theaters.
