The Saints fired head coach Dennis Allen on Monday, and named Bergen Catholic alumnus Darren Rizzi the interim coach for the rest of the season.

The Dennis Allen era in New Orleans is over. In the midst of his third season as head coach of the Saints, the team elected to fire him after a 2-7 start to the 2024 NFL season, including an embarrassing loss to the Panthers in Week 9.
