Atlanta's Martin Luther King III, and his wife and fellow activist Arndrea Waters King have written a new book called "What Is My Legacy?: Realizing a New Dream of Connection, Love and Fulfillment."

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WBNG) -- Martin Luther King III, Martin Luther King Jr.‘s and Coretta Scott King’s eldest son, will speak at Binghamton University’s upcoming fireside chat. King is an influential thought leader and international statesman who consults with heads of state worldwide.

Martin Luther King Jr.'s direct connections to Denver may be minimal, yet year after year, the community hosts one of the nation's largest celebrations of his life and legacy. What's happening: The annual Marade — a combination of the words "march" and "parade" — takes place next Monday to mark MLK Day.

Events include the Dream Brunch on Jan. 26 to honor and commemorate Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy. Participants will reflect on his life and how his activism has paved the way for generations to come. Olivia Seymour, Special Collections and Instruction Librarian will deliver the keynote address.

This project will focus on improving the gymnasium recreational space and aesthetic appeal at the community center.
