American Coco Gauff looks to break a decade-long streak at the French Open, but the world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka stands in her way.

The women’s singles semifinals take place today as defending champion Iga Swiatek clashes with world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in a mouthwatering clash. On the other side of the draw, there is US interest as Coco Gauff faces off against a surprise semifinalist in the unseeded Lois Boisson of France.

American Coco Gauff will face No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, the player she defeated in 2023 to win the US Open, on Saturday.

Djokovic was bidding for a record-extending 38th Grand Slam final, and eighth in Paris, where he was won three times. But he spent much of the semifinal camped behind the baseline, sliding at full stretch and grunting loudly while Sinner sent him scurrying left and right like a windscreen wiper.

Sinner has only been pushed to one tiebreaker — in Friday’s semifinal win against Novak Djokovic — and is on a 20-match winning streak in Grand Slam tournaments, after winning the U.S. Open and the Australian Open.
