The Cincinnati Bengals are ready to open contract negotiations again with wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, who likely is seeking to become the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. Chase, 24, is entering the final season of his rookie deal and is coming off a season in which he won the receivers' triple crown,

The 6-foot, 201-pound receiver is set to earn $21.8 million next season. However, he’s aiming to become the NFL’s highest-paid wide receiver, surpassing his former LSU teammate, Justin Jefferson, who currently makes $35 million per year with the Minnesota Vikings.

This season, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase became the youngest Triple Crown winner in NFL history since Don Hutson. Hutson, now an NFL Hall of Famer, accomplished that feat in 1936. Given the rarity of Chase’s achievement this season, his jersey, gloves and cleats are now on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Cincinnati Bengals must lock up superstar wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase with a long-term deal in 2025, and one NFL analyst sees them doing just that. He projects a record-breaking $145 million deal for Chase.
