Utah Hockey Club fell apart in the second period against the Montreal Canadiens, leaving the team to ask some tough questions of itself.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have a third line center issue, but according to analysts the best solution lies with the Buffalo Sabres but more specifically Dylan Cozens.

Until last weekend, all three players on Utah HC's third line were on point droughts, ranging from eight to 12 games.

SALT LAKE CITY – Kirby Dach scored twice as the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Utah Hockey Club 5-3 at Delta Center on Tuesday. Mike Matheson and Cole Caufield each had a goal and an assist for the Canadiens (21-18-4), who are 10-2-1 in their last 13 games. Lane Hutson had three assists, and Sam Montembeault made 22 saves.

Utah continues the road trip tomorrow with a rematch against the Winnipeg Jets. Tomorrow’s game at Canada Life Centre will be the third meeting of the season between the teams after Winnipeg defeated Utah 3-0 on Nov. 5, and Utah returned the favor 5-2 on Jan. 20. Tomorrow’s puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. MT.
