Three coaches of Shalimar Express, heading from Lahore to Karachi, derailed near Shahdara area of Lahore in Pakistan’s Punjab, ARY News reported. As per the details, the railway officials said that engineering department teams reached the site of the incident and relief operations are being conducted.

The Shalimar Express, traveling from Lahore to Karachi, derailed near Shahdara area of Punjab's Lahore disctrict on Thursday, causing three of its coaches to go off track. The derailment, which took place near Barkat Town, narrowly avoided a major catastrophe, a local news channel reported.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has dismissed speculations of removing legendary cricketer Imran Khan’s name from an enclosure at the recently renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. According to sources, three bogies of the Shalimar Express derailed from the track while one derailed from the bridge, resulting in closure of the up and down track and affecting the schedule of Faisalabad-bound trains from Lahore.
This airplane has the capacity to travel at 3,045 miles per hour. This means it would make the passengers land at New York from London in mere two hours. Following the same parameters, the distance from Karachi to Lahore would be reduced to mere 13 minutes.
"The construction work on the Gaddafi stadium is still going on, which is likely to be finished by Feb 2 and the tri-series will be the first event on the revamped stadium,” says PCB.
