Gael Monfils claimed his 13th ATP title in Auckland. The Frenchman played in his 35th ATP final and ousted Belgium's Zizou Bergs 6-3, 6-4 in an hour and 37 minutes, lifting a trophy and writing history books.

The longest match ever played at Wimbledon lasted five hours, 12 minutes and included 112 games in 1969. Pancho Gonzales finally beat Charlie Pasarell 22-24 1-6 16-14 6-3 11-9. It is unlikely it will ever be beaten due to the introduction of tie-breaks.
