Fort Wayne Polar Plunge at Metea County Park is a wrap and more than 230 plungers raised over $110,000 for Special Olympics Indiana during the Feb.

Supporters can cheer on Waco police officers or register their own team and take the plunge alongside them. Proceeds fund year-round sports training and competition, health and inclusion programs for local Special Olympics athletes.
The plunge happens at noon Saturday. The goal is to raise $120,000.
This year, athletes were joined by local organizations, middle and high school students, and Center Grove graduate and Kansas City Chiefs running back Carson Steele.
Special Olympics Indiana’s Polar Plunge returned to Terre Haute and Indiana State University Saturday afternoon. This is the 26th year of this event that challenges individuals and teams to make a difference by taking a dip in icy waters.
