The Dallas Stars aren’t getting shut out on the power play in the Western Conference final against Edmonton this time.

The puck drops Wednesday night in Dallas as the Stars and Edmonton Oilers will face off for the second straight year.

The Edmonton Oilers appeared to be in firm control of Game 1 of the Western Conference Final with a 3-1 advantage over the Dallas Stars entering the third period. However, a series of undisciplined penalties led to the Stars scoring three power play goals en route to a 6-3 comeback win to open the series.

The Dallas Stars came away with the win on Wednesday night over the Edmonton Oilers, but everyone suffered some bumps and bruises before they left the ice.

The Dallas Stars’ Western Conference finals matchup this spring is a chance at revenge. It’s a chance at revenge against the Edmonton Oilers, who eliminated the Stars in this same round last year. And it’s a chance to show that the way the Stars lost in 2024 won’t trickle into 2025.
