BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2025 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office late Thursday told BocaNewsNow.com that it is now investigating a double-death in a West Boynton Beach nursing home as a murder-suicide. The deaths were first reported to PBSO on Monday.

The extended family of Sha Reh — the teenager who survived a gunshot wound to the head in a suspected murder-suicide in December 2024 — provided more details about his recovery in a new statement.

A man shot and killed his pregnant wife and their two children before he killed himself, according to authorities.

According to West Greenwich police, Nicholas Arruda, 39, shot and killed Danielle Arruda, 39, Adele Arruda, 5, and Felix Arruda, 2, before turning the gun on himself. Danielle Arruda was seven months pregnant at the time of her death.

Police continue to investigate after a family was found dead in their West Greenwich home last week. President Biden stood next to Gov. Gavin Newsom and pledged full federal support as fires burned through Los Angeles County.

Police say Nicholas D. Arruda, 39, shot and killed his pregnant wife, Danielle, 39, and their two young children. “My brother committed the most cowardly despicable act one could perpetrate,” Arruda’s brother said.
