Laptop fire at Brockton High School prompts evacuation
Brockton High School was evacuated Friday morning following reports of a fire. Crews responded around 10:18 a.m. for a report of a student’s district-issued laptop catching fire in the core building, according to officials. School police were able to extinguish the fire before the firefighters’ arrival and there were no reports of any injuries.

"Students and staff were temporarily evacuated from Brockton High School this morning after a student's district-issued laptop caught fire," a BPS spokesperson said. When firefighters arrived, the core building had been evacuated.
