With most describing him as "tough," "energetic," "focused" and "effective" — and as doing what he'd promised during his campaign — President Trump has started his term with net positive marks from Americans overall. Trump’s approval ratings also were above water by 10 percentage points when it comes to handling the economy (50% approval vs. 40% disapproval) and immigration (55% vs. 40%.) His highest rankings came in his handling of foreign policy, where 50% said they approve of the president’s plans vs. 39% who disapprove.
