Graeme Souness has questioned whether Aston Villa should sign Marcus Rashford permanently from Manchester United this summer. Rashford has made a positive impact at Villa Park, but Souness harbours concerns over his price tag and the knock-on effect his earnings would have on the club's wage structure.

The 27-year-old made the move across the English top-flight to Villa Park in February ending a difficult period under Erik ten Hag and his successor Ruben Amorim. As part of the deal, Unai Emery's side cover at least 75 percent of the academy graduate's salary which may rise to 90 percent, should he hit performance-related bonuses.
