I t has been a disappointing start to the season for the Florida State Seminoles, as despite being a preseason top-10 team, things quickly went downhill following a shocking loss

The Seminoles played with a visible chip on their collective shoulder and earned a sorely needed victory over new ACC rival California, 14-9, at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday night. The win stops the bleeding for FSU, which had lost four consecutive games since beating Louisville in the ACC Championship Game last Dec. 2.

While one win does not fix this team's fundamental issues, winning cultures do not panic, and Norvell’s team put their character on display for the first win of the season. On Saturday, Florida State faced multiple opportunities to throw in the towel.
