Yesterday, nearly 5,000 Starbucks employees walked out on Christmas Eve as part of a nationwide strike. According to Starbucks Workers United, nearly 300 Starbucks stores nationwide were impacted by this strike across 47 states.

The union representing Starbucks workers said its five-day strike will conclude on Tuesday with the strike spreading to more than300 stores, adding more establishments in metro areas.

Starbucks baristas at locations in a dozen states have walked off the job as part of a holiday strike they say could spread to hundreds of stores by Tuesday unless the company ups its wage offer in contract negotiations that have been ongoing for the better part of the year.
