And just like that, the stoop Carrie Bradshaw made famous in “Sex in the City” is getting an iron fence. On Tuesday, the owner of the famous property on Perry Street in the West Village got emotional as she formally asked to make the change.

In Sex and the City and its spinoff, Carrie Bradshaw glides down the steps of her Manhattan apartment to take on New York City. But coming and going isn't so easy for the person actually living in the brownstone in Greenwich's West Village.
