A bill that would ban all forms of THC, the psychoactive compound found in cannabis, is making its way through the Texas legislature.

Hundreds gathered at the Texas Capitol on Monday to oppose a bill they argue is being misleadingly framed as a push against Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick's effort to ban THC. In reality, the bill seeks to prohibit all consumable hemp products, with the exception of drinks.

The bill could still be on a collision course with Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who leads the Senate and has opposed any carve outs for THC-infused beverages.
