On day 2 of Jets training camp, bench boss Scott Arniel began his media availability with some bad news as he disclosed Ville Heinola is dealing with an infection that is not considered day-to-day.

Arniel resisted the urge for roster revolution with his Day 1 lines. Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele and Gabriel Vilardi skated on one unit on Team Neufeld to start the day. Nino Niederreiter, Adam Lowry and Mason Appleton were together again on Team Lesuk later in the day.

Jets head coach Scott Arniel delivered the bad news following the completion of Day 2 of training camp at Hockey For All Centre when he told reporters Heinola has an infection in the ankle he broke last fall and will be sidelined for at least a week.
