Raging Torrent has won the $200,000 Malibu Stakes by 1 1/4 lengths at Santa Anita, with Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan finishing last in the final Grade 1 stakes of the year in the United States.

Mystik Dan had to make a 1,900-mile van ride to Santa Anita to run in the Malibu Stakes. He's the first Derby winner to race at Santa Anita as a 3-year-old since 1997.

Ridden by Frankie Dettori, Raging Torrent tracked pacesetter Pilot Commander (7-2), took over at the top of the stretch and sped to the wire to bag his second graded stakes win this year. Most recently seventh in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint at Del Mar Nov.
