Tesla boss Elon Musk has added to his record of personal insults aimed at German politicians with a new post targeting German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. On his X account on Tuesday, the US billionaire and close advisor to US President-elect Donald Trump wrote: "Steinmeier is an anti-democratic tyrant!

In his opinion piece, Musk called the AfD "the last spark of hope" for Germany and argued in favor of the party's positions on energy, economic recovery and migration, saying they reflect "the principles that made Tesla and SpaceX successful," according to a Euronews translation.
