Live coverage of the celebrations at Times Square in New York City will lead up to the ball droll drop at 11 p.m. CT.

Rapper Pitbull helped place the last triangular segment that makes up the giant ball which will tower over New York’s famous square as crowds ring in the new year.

The Times Square Ball Drop celebration will kick off at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31 and the Ball will be raised to the top of the pole at One Times Square.
