The City of Aurora is moving forward with plans to close The Edge at Lowry apartment complex at 12th and Dallas after a municipal judge in Colorado granted an emergency order.

An Aurora municipal judge granted an emergency order to close the troubled Edge of Lowry apartments, finding the property presents “an imminent threat to public safety and welfare,” city officials said Monday.

An Aurora apartment complex at the center of an international media spotlight, The Edge at Lowry, will temporarily close after it was determined “an immediate threat to public safety” by a judge.

The Colorado apartment complex overrun by Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua and that came to represent the transnational crime syndicate’s growing footprint in the U.S. was ordered to close by a judge due to it being an “imminent threat to public safety.

The city and property owner, CBZ Management, was in court Monday over the complex where Aurora Police say crime has continued.
