The Dallas Mavericks broke a five-game losing streak on Tuesday night by picking up a 118-97 win over LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. Dallas shot a blistering 18/38 from three-point range as they were able to take the Lakers off the dribble and open up shots all over the floor.

While fans may be upset with James not looking dejected after the loss, he was one of the few bright spots for the Lakers. The 40-year-old posted 18 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in 35 minutes of action.

The Mavericks had lost six of their last seven games and were without Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Daniel Gafford, yet outscored the Lakers 63-47 in the second half

Despite a near triple-double from LeBron James, the Mavericks mostly held Anthony Davis in check. He had 21 points, but it came on just 7/18 shooting. Any time you can hold Davis to a performance like that, you'll stand a good chance of winning, especially when Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, and Daniel Gafford are all out.
