Prince William and King Charles shared birthday wishes for Prince Harry on social media on Sunday, Sept. 15 to celebrate his 40th birthday. The surprise messages came amid an ongoing rift between the Duke of Sussex and his father and brother.

Despite his controversial rift with the royal family, Prince Harry is getting some well-wishes for his birthday. The British royal, who turns 40 on Sunday, received birthday tributes from his father, King Charles III, and brother, Prince William, on social media.

In January 2020, the younger brother stepped down from his role as a senior member of the royal family. A couple of months later, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, relocated with their son, Archie, to California, where they welcomed their daughter, Lilibet, in 2021.
