'Crisis mode' prompts Tacoma Humane to waive dog adoption fees
TACOMA, Wash. — The Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County is waiving adoption fees for all dogs over the next few days as it deals with a "crisis" of overcrowding. Adoption fees will be waived from Nov. 14-17 for all dogs. The shelter says it is currently caring for close to 200 dogs between the shelter and foster homes.
