In a Steam update aptly titled Extremely Sad Depressing News, Act III, Dizzie spoke frankly to the community about the game's future and why it is in jeopardy. The lead-turned-solo developer explained that he has been sentenced to prison for 3 years over charges filed 5 years ago. Dizzie will go away next month.

In case you've not heard of it, Fortune's Run is a first-person shooter with immersive sim elements and an aesthetic not too dissimilar to Doom. Due to its "large scope," the game was released on Steam in early access in September 2023.
