Everton have added Alan Irvine and Charlie Adam to new manager David Moyes’ backroom staff. Former Everton winger Irvine, 66, joins as assistant manager, a role he held under Moyes both at Goodison Park and with West Ham United.

David Moyes has named a former Liverpool midfielder on his Everton coaching staff after returning to Goodison Park for a second stint when Sean Dyche was fired.

David Moyes has confirmed the appointment of Alan Irvine as his assistant manager. Charlie Adam, most recently manager of Fleetwood Town, has also been brought in as Moyes’s set-piece coach. Irvine has worked in the role before, firstly during Moyes’s first spell as the Everton boss, as well as his time at West Ham United.
