We visited on Halloween and it was very atmospheric with lovely illuminations. Lance on admissions was very informative and Charles who was singing for everyone was entertaining to say the least.Full review by Lucy T

Q:
Is it ok for wheelchair users

I think there are accessible slopes but not 100% sure. I'd go to the seafront which is flat and there is a lift up to the top of the cliff along there.
Q:
Do you have to book before you go to Shanklin chine ?
A:
Hi Sophie. No, well I don’t think so, we just went and paid at the entrance. It was lovely, but quite steep in some places with numerous steps. Enjoy
Q:
Is there still a hotel at the top of shackling chine
A:
Yes. It is up the stone steps to the left as you come out the top of the chine. It is in Rylstone Gardens.

We went along around 7ish and the lights were on but to get full effect go as late as possible bearing in mind they close at 10pm until the end of August and the you have to get back up again if you want to walk back up the Chine. There is the cliff lift which stays open till quite late and there is a small charge and that is about a 5 min walk from the Chinese exit.
