Yes, you can just turn up, and go on a guided tour of the ground floor only, which begin at 12:30 and run every hour until 15:30. You can however, book to go on a guided tour of the ground and upper floor, but these only take place a few times a year - the first one being 14th June.

The house is open for guided tours only, but do not let that put you off. Our guide was great, and encouraged visitors to interact and ask questions, and as the groups are small (only four …

The house is open for guided tours only, but do not let that put you off. Our guide was great, and encouraged visitors to interact and ask questions, and as the groups are small (only four on our tour) this works well. The house is only open on Wenesday afternoons and Bank Holiday Monday afternoons.
